Miata Club Member Indiscretion
Alas, on Monday, November 2, 2020, at the intersection of Johnston Street and Camelia Blvd in Lafayette, around 9:30AM, there before me on the most beautiful of days, replete with 60 degree weather and bright sunshine, a silver Miata of the NC version crossed my path with the PRHT closed!! How could this be I asked myself? And then it occurred to me that the culprit was none other than a fellow Miata Club member whose initials are the same as the infamous Morris Garage works of England that became the precursor of the Miata. (you know who you are!)
This indiscretion was somewhat mollified by the almost immediate appearance of a white NA Miata with a “Flying Miata” banner and a race number 9 on the door. Ahh, my psyche was once again soothed by the NA’s dashing demeanor.
Mind you, all of the aforementioned was observed from the sanctity of my 4 wheel fortress, the mighty Subaru Outback. My excuse for not driving my NC at the time was that my NC couldn’t hold all of the provisions extracted from Costco during the Senior Shopping experience.
What’s yours for not driving with the top down today?
