Sarah, I will put it on web site.  I don’t know about sale price but it isn’t bad.  Did all 4 rims survive?  Those are really expensive rims.  I did get the pictures but have been out sidedoing yard work all day.

Hope you got the pix you need.  The ones from the tow yard (after shots)  may not have been sent.  If you can share your cell phone I think I can make it transmit.

My number is 832-259-6899

I am still addled  a bit so bear with me while I “over share” my situation.  At 71 years old I got it for my Pastry Chef husband as a retirement gift. Spent 25% (4,500 + 500.00 for tires) of the settlement I got after being unfairly fired after 40 years at Rice U. in 2014. Now I sew for people and theatrical productions. We are not well to do but to stay calm I  am rationalizing it as “play  car, play money”

So, what I am saying is I really do not know the value of what remains of the car.  My ticket will be $250.00 – assuming the Semi company does not sue me (I do have liability ins.) Owed to tow lot so far is about 500.00 then 25.00 a day after today.  I would appreciate getting that much money so I do not go further in the hole. I am trusting you to be fair and tell me if 1,000.00 is too low or too high.

Hope I don’t deter you by sounding desperate but frankly I do feel that way. I love Louisiana so feel that the Mardi Gras club is going to do right for me.  If you prefer no further contact please tell me and I will look for other options and leave you alone.

Sarah, any pictures, color, interior condition?  I understand your concern about semis.  I drove my 2004 back and forth to Houston for about 50,000 miles.  Gave up and bought a pickup.  Still have Miata..  i was run entirely off the road 3 times by trucks.

Subject: 2000 MX 5 for salvage

Last week I was sucked under an 18 wheeler in my recently purchased 2000 MX-5. I am puzzled as to how the accident happened. Any discussion welcome… I was in left lane, shifting into 5th gear after merge from I-55 to I-12. A 2018 Volvo Semi passed me on the right and I felt my front wheels lose traction. Wild “Cowboy” driving ensued… I rocked down the left lane and avoided rollover to the left. Then, suddenly, my airborne car was drawn into the plastic skirt between front and rear wheels of the trailer. Windshield broke right below rear view mirror when it hit the side reflector on the trailer and then airbags deployed. The truck had slowed by that time and pulled over to side, my car butt was in right lane. I knew right away I was not really injured. YAY! Basically got a fat lip and derma-abrasion by the airbag. Not even a nosebleed or black eye. Call me “Lucky!”

Now I need to dispose of the damaged car. Do not want to attempt repair due to insurance concerns after airbag deployment, Plus I am grateful to survive something that could be worse next time. Hope someone in the Louisiana area will want it for salvage.

Since the hood was not impacted, the engine cranks and still runs great. 65000 actual miles. I presume the transmission is ok too. Has 500.00 of new tires. The replacement convertible top appears to be salvageable as well as the whole left side and rear end. It is covered, in storage and I want to be out from $25.00 per day storage fee without dragging it 300 miles to Houston.. All ideas will be considered. Also, I have completely clear Mississippi title.

Please respond or forward this email if you know anyone who could be interested.
